1972 - Women clash in Belfast: Roman Catholic women fought and screamed at each other in Belfast yesterday as supporters of the Provisional IRA broke up a meeting by the Women Together group, called to back the growing demand for an end to terrorism. Groups of youths and girls carrying placards supporting the Provisionals invaded the Holy Cross School Hall in Andersonstown, singing Republican songs and stamping. Outside, eggs were thrown.
