Oct. 27, 1977 - October 27th, 1977 Home Secretary Merlyn Rees shouted down by angry police Mr. Rees, the Home Secretary, was shouted down in a storm of slow handclaps, boos and hisses by hundreds of angry London policemen at Central Hall, Westminster, last night. The Police are in despair at not being treated as a special case in their demands for more pay.
