Nov. 11, 1975 - Crash Vegetable Proves Let Him Die Doctors Wrong: A Motorcycle crash victim. Who was nothing more than a hopeless human vegetable is today is enjoying life because his parents refused to accept doctors advice to Pull out the Plug. It was six years ago when steve Talbot, now 26, was badly injured in a motorcycle accident in Belgrave Square receiving severe brain damage. Today, six years later, although Steve is confined to a wheelchair at his home he is talkative and very cheerful with his mother who nagged him out of his seemingly hopeless no one least of all the doctors who gave him up for the dead will say his life was not worth saving. So the case of Steve Talbot is a reminder of why society must think and be careful before delegating the right of anyone the right to end life.
