Dec. 12, 1977 - Minister of transport launches major new drinking and driving campaign; Mr. William Redgers, Secretary of State for Transport, today launched a nationwide publicity campaign to get people to think before they drink and drive. He launched the campaign from the steps of a care man in Etham, High Street, in South London. The designed to resemble a public house, has breathalysers and an eyesight tester on board, and will tour public house car parks in Greenwich inviting the public to breath test themselves after drinking.
