May 05, 1979 - Save A baby Petition Presented To The Commons: A giant Save a Baby petition bearing nearly a million signatures one of the largest to be presented to Parliament was handed over the MPs at the House of Commons today. the petition, which bears signatures from all parts of the UK has been organized by a committee of people in support of The Spastics Society's nationwide Campaign. Photo shows Miss Nerys Hughes, the well-known actress and a member of the state Organization for Spastics, with her daughter 5 month old Mari-Claire, as she hands over part of the petition to Mr Louis Carter-Jones MP for Bocles at the Commons today
