Feb. 02, 1978 - Kennedy Jun. In Jet Skyjacking - Arab Gang Forces Jumbo Jet To Fly To Aden: A hijacked West German jumbo jet with the eldest son of the late U.S. Senator Robert Kennedy and other passengers on board, landed safely in Aden today - almost eight hours after it was seized by Arab commandos over India. All 172 passengers, including 19-year-old Joseph Kennedy - and the crew of 16 aboard the Lufthansa Boeing 747 were reported in good conditions. The Iraq news agency said that the Arab commandos had allowed the 50 women and Children to leave the aircraft. In London, a Foreign Office spokesman said Britain, at the request of the U.S. Government, instructed its ambassador Arthur Kellas to try and establish contact with the hijackers to seek the safe release of young Kennedy and the others aboard the aircraft.
