Sep. 09, 1978 - The Good Neighbour Milkman of 1978: Jan Rybar, employed by the Oxford and Swindon Co-op Society, was chosen following a nationwide competition run by Help the Aged's newspaper, Yours. in conjunction with the National Dairy Council who sponsored the award. He received a cheque for 50 and the pensioner who nominated his Mrs. Ayres, of New Church Road, Oxford, also received 50. Photo shows Mrs. Ayres gives Jan Rybar a kiss after the presentation at the National Dairy Centre, John Princes Street in London today
