1981 - TUCKBOX TO BE OPENED IN 570 YEARS TIME: 14 year old schoolboy Nicholas Tinworth was lifted by a hoist to place a hermetically-sealed tuckbox in a rebuilt spire at Bedford School which was damaged by fire two years ago. The box contains his winning essay, a school tie, timetable and a detention form and will be opened in 570 years time when the famous public school celebrates its millennium.
