1981 - RIOTING HITS BRIXTON FOR THE SECOND NIGHT Rioting, looting and arsen spread throughout the streets of Brixton, in South London, once again last night, for the second successive night. With police using their riot shields to charge the narauding gangs of youths-most, but not all of them black. Police buses, vans were attacked and shops, pubs and cars set alight. By late last night 201 policemen and two policewomen had been injured and 213 people arrested since the weekend trouble flared up on Saturday evening.
