Oct. 10, 1969 - Women Pipe Smokers At The Festival Hall.: As the first stage of a market research programme, Britains's biggest pipe tobacco manufacturers, Ogdon's of Liverpool, entertained a group of women pipe smokers at the Royal Festival Hall, London. The women sampled ten of Ogdon's leading brands as they told company officials why they enjoyed pipe-smoking and were invite to make suggestions about the type of tobacco and pipes they would prefer.
