Valentine Headworth
1964 - From Engineering to oil Painting. 54-year-old Mr. Valentine Headworth has spent his working life as a motor mechanic, and naturally assumed that that would be how he would continue, Suddenly he came home one evening and told his wife that he was going to paint. That was three years ago - he started painting landscapes, mostly that he remembered from his boyhood on an Essex from, then last year he made the big derision to give up his 6-a-week job as a mechanis and became a professional artist. At first he found it hard going, then some of his work was spotted by an expert who recognised his brilliant use of light, and now his paintings are selling at 00 each and his work is fully booked up for the next six months.
