VALERIE was released on bail of 8, 000 dollars but she will have to return to Spain to face two drug charges, one of which carries an automatic sentence of six years and a day. The other could impose fines amounting to tens of thousands of pounds, Her ordeal began when she was stopped driving a car from the Morocco ferry as it landed at Algeciras. Behind the back seat of the car was found nearly 64 lb. of hashish, but VALERIE protested that she knew nothing about the drugs, Her troubles began when she met a young Englishman in the Moroccan village of Easaoura, where she had been living. She told him she was waiting for money to arrive so that she could travel to Europe- He offered to let her drive his car back to Germany, telling her that he had hired it there but did not need it any more VALERIE HAS MAINTained her innocence throughout although she is petrified at the thought of going back to Spain for trial, but she is determined to prove her innocence.
