Jul. 07, 1959 - Rejuvenated Visitor: HMS Victorious, veteran World War II British aircraft carrier which operated with United States naval units in the Pacific and off North Africa, is to visit the USA this month. Completely rebuilt last year into one of the most modern fighting units she will show her ultra-modern (July 10 to 14) and available to the public in Boston, Mass. (July 25 to 29) and New York City (July 30 to August 3). Her modern electronics will not be on view in the latter two cities, but her angled 775 ft. flight deck, mirror landing device and steam catapults for aircraft launching, three British inventions adopted by the US Navy will be.
