Vickers Vigilant anti-tank guided missile demonstration

Vigilant anti-tank guided missile shown to the public portable weapon considered by NATO countries: A live demonstration of the Vickers Vigilant anti-tank guided missile was held today at the School of Infantry, Warminster, Wiltshire. This was the first time that the Vigilant was shown to public. The missile has been developed during the past three years as a straightforward infantryman's weapon and recently underwent assesment trials with the British Army. Several NATO countries are particularly interested in it and a recent demonstration in Italy created a considerable sensation when the missile scored 11 hits out of 13 shots against moving targets, including one at the incredible short range of 200 yards. Photo shows the Vickers Vigilant anti-tank guided missile with the soldier who controls its flight with a pistol grip sight
