Vietnam War
Dien Khanh, Vietnam - A doctors gentle touch is applied each day to the villagers at Dion Khanh. This child was burned when he tipped over a kerosene lamp at home. Many of the people here had not seen a doctor before the Seabseen arrived and his work is never finished. Semon tries to make four sick calls a week in the village, and usually sees 20 to 80 people each visit. Recently, Semon went to a village that until recently was controlled by Viet Cong. He treated 365 patients that visit. Official U.S. Navy Photograph by PBC Bob Veodor. Combat Camera Group, Pacific
