Vietnam War
Mar. 23, 1970 - Professor Abendroth, from Marburg, sits here on the steps of Paulskirche and eavesdrops on the words of a speaker. The professor was one of the most prominent participants of the event Vietnam-Manifest - Paulskirche 70, at which, besides him, others such as philosophy professors Ernst Bloch of T?bingen, writers Rolf Hochhuth of Basel and Martin Walserof Stuttgart as well as pastor Niemoller addressed the audience. The rally was repeatedly disturbed by members of the Socialist Student Organization(SDS), and several of the speakers were hindered from finishing their speeches. As in Frankfurt, these days several other states in Germany are having their own rallies.for peace
