Dec. 12, 1977 - Vietnamese refugees from the Trawler song be 12-arrive at Darwin-Australia: Australia has refused to demand from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to return the song be 12 beat, and what it described as all the pirates aboard. Many small boats with Vietnamese refugees have sailed into Darwin since the Saigon regime fell 2 1/2 years ago, the number so far is 742. Photo shows some of the small armada of Vietnamese boats which have arrived in Darwin, bringing almost 350 refugees in less than two weeks. These boats are shown beached near the city's quarantine station, awaiting clearance by Customs officers and eventual sale by auction
