Vietnamese refugees arriving in Hong Kong
May 29, 1979 - Come To Our Rescue-Says Mrs. Thatcher: Prime Minister Mrs. Thatcher has appealed to other Nations to come to our aid of the Vietnamese people. They are pouring into Hong Kong, but the outflow is but a trickle. In the 24 hour period (May 10/11th) 1, 724 Vietnamese refugees landed in Hong Kong, and 30, 000 have arrived so far.
