Nov. 11, 1958 - Audition For Boys To Play a Watering Can: An Audition was held last evening to find two schoolboys to blow down the spout of a watering can to sound an A which is needed to tune the Orchestra at cartoonist Gerard Hoffnung's Interplanetary Musical Festival'. The Candidates had to be not more than 12- years-old, small and fat'. They will blow the watering cans at Hoffnung's two crazy concerts today and tomorrow at the Royal Festival Hall, London.
