Sep. 09, 1962 - It's Raining White Say Africans As Snow Falls After 17 Years In South Africa: Snow has blanketed many parts of South Africa in the heaviest and most widespread falls for the country since 1945. The result is disruppted air, road, rail and telephone communications. Drifts of up to six feet deep have killed cattle on farms. One school closed when only 15 children arrived.
