Feb. 02, 1966 - 2.2.66 Lifting of Radio Telescope dish framework The lifting of one piece of the 35 ton steel framework built by the ministry of the public building and works, at Chilbolton Hampshire for the radio research station of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, took place today. The saucer-shaped steel tons, and was lifted by two large mobile cranes. It was the first time in this country that this sort of operation has been carried out on a radio telescope.
