A 1, 200 piece China Dinner Service has been made by the famous firm of Wedgwood for use at the Coronation Dinner on June 5th. when Mr Eden the Foreign Secretary and Mrs Eden, will entertain the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and more than 100 official guests from the Commonwealth and Empire and from foreign countries, in the Long Gallery of Lancaster House, St James's Palace. Photo shows table setting of Golden Persephone for the Coronation Dinner. Gold on fine bone china, with Royal Coat of Arms in centre of plates, small side plate, meat plate, salad crescent and sweet plate. The border was designed by the late Eric Ravilious, a war artist who was killed on active service in 1942
