1955 - Welsh Miners Sing for the Duke: The Duke of Edinburgh Performed the Ceremony of presentation a Charter of the operation to the newly created borough of Rhondda to the Chairman of the Council, Councillor IVOR IDRIS Jones - in Gelligaled Park, Ystrad, Rhondda, yesterday.
