Wilhelm Boger sentenced for war crimes, Frankfurt

Aug. 08, 1965 - Auschwitz Guards Sentenced To Hard Labour For Life In Frankfurt Trial: Six guards at the Auschwitz death camp run by the Nazis were sentenced today to hard labour for life for their share in what the prosecution called the greatest crime in history'. The sentences ended a 20-month trial which ended in Frankfurt today. About 4, 000, 000 people mostly Jews, died in the Auschwitz murder factory'. Photo shows Wilhelm Boger, 60, ex- SS Sergeant, one of the men sentenced to hard labour for life, for 114 cases of murder, joint murder in at least 1, 000 cases, and complicity in murdering at least 10 cases
