Wilhelm Zaisser removed from office in Soviet Zone

Jul. 25, 1953 - Zaisser removed from his office; UP released a sensational report aired by the American Network, last night, 11.55 hours: Wilhelm Zaisser, one of Germany's Red Bosses in the Soviet Zone, State Minister Public Security and Political Supervision, has been removed from his office. Zaisser's Intelligence Department with of agents has been deactivated, and all state employees have been taken over by the Ministry of Interior.
