William Holt, writer, and his horse Trigger in Rome

William Holt and Trigger seeing the sights in Rome: William Holt a well-known English writer and his pet-horse Trigger are perhaps the most peculiar personages ever seen since a long time ago in Rome Mr. Holt bought Trigger when he was 6 years old (he now 12) and he has never left his horse for a single day or night. To feed Trigger and himself he sells drawings and every night they find a convenient field, eat an evening meal together, then go to bed in the open air. It is certain - says Mr. Holt - that Trigger and I will be together for the rest of our days'. Photo shows Mr. Holt drawing St Peter's Church
