Willy Birgel, German actor, 80th birthday

Sep. 19, 1971 - Willy Birgel turns 80. Willy Birgel turns 80 years old on September 19, 1971. The great film actor of German film at one time entertained many with his craft. His most famous films were Rides for Germany, Stars over Colombo, A Heart Returns Home, and The Riding Master. Today there aren't any film roles for Willy any more; he isn't sad about that however, because the great older gentleman is still needed on the stage. He feels greatly attached to the theatre. Weeks ago he played the main role in the comedy Sind wir das nicht alle or Aren't We All Like That in Cologne. Then, he starred with Gustav Knuth in the English piece Heimat or Home in a Zurich playhouse. The hobbies of the nearly 80 year old actor include: Reading, Listening to Good Music, and - something to keep him in good health - Going Walking and Swimming
