Windmill Girls in canteen, curtain down, London

Oct. 10, 1964 - Curtain down in the Windmill - at last. The girls are very very sad: Miss Sheila Van Damm and her family the Windmill today that they had sold their interests caused by of the loss of business owing to the rapid growth of strip clubs in the West End. The Windmill was the first West End Theatre to display nude girls on the stage. Photo shows three of the showgirls in the Theatre Canteen - talk over the news this afternoon. They are L-R: Pat Paterson (25) of Kensal Green; Mandy Mayer (26) of Kingston - and Alexis Home (18) of Liverpool
