Feb. 02, 1968 - She Wins The World Typing Endurance Record: Miss Nikki Simon, a 19-year-old student at the Oxford College of Technology, yesterday beat by 30 minutes the world typing endurance record of 62 hours one minute, held by a New Zealand girl. Nikki, her wrist bandaged said'I feel absolutely shattered. My hands are sort, my legs stiff, and my back hurts. I just want to sleep and sleep'. The college's Rag Committee expects her efforts will have raised 50 towards their target of &15, 000 for charities.
