Winston Churchill inspects RAF Squadron, Biggin Hill
Sep. 05, 1954 - Sir Winston Churchill presents Trophy: The Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill, Honorary Air Commodore of No. 615 (County of Surrey) Squadron, Royal Auxiliary Air Force, this afternoon presented the Esher Trophy to the Squadron at R.A.F. Station, Biggin Hill. The Esher challenge Trophy is awarded annually to the most efficient fighter squadron of the Royal Auxiliary Air Force, This is the first time that 615 Squadron has won the trophy.
