1956 - Sir Winston Churchill is visited by men of the Battalion at Chartwell. Sir Winston Churchill - who is Hon. Colonel of the 5th. ( Cinqus Ports ) Battalion, the Royal Sussex Regiment T.A. was this afternoon visited by a party of seven officers and 40 other ranks of the Regiment at Chartwell. He took the salutes and inspected the other ranks.
