Into the Political Arena another Churchill: On September 26th, Winston Spencer-Churchill the son of Randolph, was adopted as Conservative candidate for Gorton, Manchester. Confident that he will win the seat from Labour in the forthcoming by election caused by the death of Konni Zilliacus, Mr. Churchill is at present in Manchester getting to know his potential constituents. His broadcasting experience his first job in 1964 was as interviewer for the BBC. This time of day enables him to speak effectively to people in all walks of life. It would seem that once again history may repeat itself. Like his grandfather, who reported on the Boer War and was a prodigious writer, young Winston too turned to journalism and wrote an eye Witness account of the recent Israeli conflict. Mr. Churchill plans to live in Manchester and will shortly be joined by his wife Minnie, second daughter of Sir Gerald d'Erlanger whom he married in 1964 and his three young children.
