Jan. 01, 1964 - Winter Building Demonstration At Hurst Park. Construction Beneath The Shelter. A demonstration was held on the Wates housing site at Hurst Park of a new Winter building programme, designed to save millions of pounds and wasted man hours. The plan features a new type of frame scaffold to full height of the intended building, with roof trusses to support a corrugated iron roof, the shelter being completed with 8 ft. x 4 ft. polythene covered timber framed panels to the exposed sides. The shelter will be completed with fluorescent floodlights
