June 24, 1941 - London, England, U.K. - By June 1941 it became necessary to ration clothing. Everyone was given 60 points a year, later reduced to 48, and could choose what to use them on. Selfridges responded to the news of clothing rationing by setting up an enquiry desk to help answer customers queries
