Women at EMI factory, assembling Beatles LP records
Nov. 11, 1965 - A Big Christmas Rush For The Beatles Records: The Beatles have long been the phenomenon of show business. They shot to the top and, unlike a lot of others, stayed there. They made their fortunes in no time at all end also boosted Britain's exports. And, of course, they were presented with the MBE award. Yet, in the final reckoning, they are just another item on a factory production belt, like nearly everything else in popular demand. To say that the demand is brisk this Christmas is to put it mildly. The EMI factory in Hayes, Middlesex has been working round the clock for the past fortniight turning out Beatles records. Advance orders have been received for 750, 000 copies of the group's new long-player Rubber Soul'.
