Women's Movement - Rights

Jan. 01, 1976 - Women Support Rights Of Unborn Children - Mia Farrow Joins The Fight: Mrs Andre Previn (Mia Farrow the actress) was among those presenting a woman's petition to members of Parliament, calling for tighter abortion laws. The petition, organised by the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, calls on the House of Commons to pass legislation to limit abortion and instead to institute programmes which will provide justice for women under pressure and which will include those recommendations put forward in the Finer Committee Report to assist single-parent families. Mrs. Previn today presented the petition signed by over 425, 418 women to M.P.'s at the House of Commons. Photo shows Mrs. Andre Previn (Mia Farrow) pictured outside St Stephen's entrance of the House of Commons today with the great pile of petitions
