Six Wrens on HMS Collingwood record Christmas messages
Nov. 11, 1964 - The six sweetest voices in the navy.: Known as the six hardest working Disc Jockeys in the business are the six Wrens now busily at work on HMS Collingwood - the Navy's Weapons Radio School at Fareham, Hants. The six Wrens get an average of £4 a week - and for the next month they will work at their microphones for at least eight hours a day tape recording Christmas messages and music for 3, 000 Royal Navy men and women serving abroad.
