Yana Mintoff and John McSherry leave Bow Street court

Dec. 21 Yana Mintoff charged with dumping horse manure over MPs in the House of Commons. Miss Yana Mintoff the 26 year old daughter of the Prime Minister of Malta, appeared at Bow Street Court today charged with dropping three bags of horse manure from the public gallery of the Commons while MPs were debating Scottish Home Rule. They burst on the floor and benches, and the contents splashed among MPs. Attendants seized Miss Mintoff, and a man and frog-marched them from the chamber. Miss Mintoff of Aston Street, Stepney, a member of the Socialist Workers Party and John McSherry of the same address were charged with causing criminal damage. During the dropping of the bags Miss Mintoff and McSherry shouted: What about Long Kesh and get the troops out of Northern Ireland.
