Oct. 10, 1969 - Gandhi Centenary Press Reception At The British Museum- The highlight of several functions and exhibitions in commemoration of Gandhi's Centenary will be a celebration, as a tribute to Gandhi, on Tuesday, October 21st, at the Royal Albert Hall. The proceeds will be devoted to the Handsworth Adventure Playground in Birmingham and the Adventure Playground Association, London, for deprived children of all nationalities. Vanessa Redgrave, the originator of the concert, Yehudi menuhin, Ravi Shankar and Zubin Mehta will be giving their services free. Following a meeting of the U.K. Gandhi Centenary Committee, there was a Press conference at the British Museum, where an Exhibition-Mahatma Gandhi - A Hundred Years - is being held.
