Apr. 22, 1954 - SInger with the five-octave range arrives in London - Miss Yma Sumac, the singer with the five octave range, who comes from Peru, arrived in London last night to begin a concert tour of Britain. Public demand, she said, had persuaded her to sing opera on the tour. She was not happy about that, because she said that she was not a great singer, just an interpreter.
