Young hippies sharing a house in Dalston, East London

The House Where They Live: In a terraced house in Dalston, East London, near where the British fascists once held sway, permanent members of the new cult of the Flower People a branch of the hippy cult, and members of a group going under the name of The Electric Galaxy, have their London pad'. Living with them there, enjoying a freedom seldom to be experienced elsewhere but being a nuisance to no one and enjoying mutual happiness and peace, is Philippine sculptor David Madella, a Cambridge undergraduate, young men and women from the cult in the USA and others. Our photographer was permitted to stay the night and a morning there and recorded the mode of life of some of the regular members of a movement that is causing the capital once again to wonder and say Where, or What Next! Young man, serious of mind, bookish type but perhaps a trifle unorthodox in taste. The symbolic flower of peace and joy is seen on the guttering behind
