Yugoslav woman tries to win back daughter, Germany

Feb. 28 Girl cries as mother tries to win her back. A new war tragedy is revealed in Voelkilingen, a small Saarland Village where Mrs. Melita Real is trying to win back her thirteen year old girl Ursula from her adoptive family. Mrs. Real, of Yugoslav origin, was deported by the Germans during the war and had to leave her baby daughter with a family of villagers. After the liberation she married a GI and went to live in California. Now she is trying to get Ursula back but the adoptive parents claim she relinquished all rights to the girl. Ursula who seems greatly attached to her new family would not go with her mother. Mother and daughter at Local Police Station, with Mme Ferry (C)
