The Dancers of Yugoslavia - Having thrown in her lot with the western nations, Yugoslavia is doing all she can to attract the foreign tourists to her shores. The country has little to offer as far as luxuries are concerned but this deficiency is made up for by the beautiful scenery - some of the most beautiful in the world - and the old arts and cultures the country possesses. The Slavs are a people rich in folklore and one of the things no visitor to Yugoslavia wants to miss is a demonstration of folk dancing. The dancers are composed of Croatians, Dalmatians, Montenegrans, Slavs and Turks (there are over 4 million Muslims in the country) and although the steps look simple every dance tells a story, often of incidents in the country's history, the steps of which have been handed down from generation to generation.
