Feb. 25, 1980 - February 25th 1980 Yul Brynner fund to help Vietnam boy Yul Brynner, the famous American actor, and star of The King and I, now on the London Palladium, has come to the aid of 11 year-old Vietnamese boat refugee Richard Chau, who won a scholarship to Chigwell public school next September, when he read that the boy might not be able to go as his parents could not afford the boarding fees of about £2, 037 a year. So Mr. Brynner is going to pay the first year's fees for Richard and launch a fund for the rest.
