Nov. 11, 1970 - Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Festival Hall, Yvette Mimieux as Narrator: At the Royal Phiharmonic Orchestra concert at the Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, the RPO, under the baton of their chief guest conductor Lawrence Foster, will give the first London Performance of John Ogdon's Piano Concerto with the composer as soloist. The final work of the programme will be Stravinsky's ballet music Persephone which has not been heard at the Festival Hall since the composer himself conducted a performance in October 1961. The soloist will be Robert Tear, and the narrator Yvette Mimieux, the beautiful American film actress-cum-lion tamer cum poet, in addition dancer, a mountaineer, a linguist and a businesswoman.
