Yvonne Monlaur, equestrian ballerina in Circus of Horrors
Feb. 29 Ballet under the big top: Meet lovely Yvonne Monlaur who stars as a French equestrienne ballerina in Circus of Horrors a new film being made under the big top of Billy Smart's Circus by Independent Artists. Yvonne was born in Gascony but moved to Paris at the age of five. She has a French father and a Russian mother - but her mother's father was Scottish. Yvonne speaks Russian and Italian fluently as well as French and English. She was a mannequin in Paris, appearing on the covers of magazines like Elle before she got her first film parts. She has appeared with Fernandel, in The Vikings, and has just completed Bay of Naples with Clarke Gable and Sophia Loren
