Belsize Fire Station, NW London
Belsize Fire Station, on the corner of Eton Avenue and Lancaster Grove, NW London, designed by the LCC architect Charles Canning Winmill (who also designed All Saints Parish Hall, where the Mary Evans Picture Library is based). Previously known as St John's Wood Fire Station, although closer to Swiss Cottage. Opened in 1915, Grade II listed by English Heritage, closed in January 2014 as part of a cost-saving exercise by the then Mayor of London, Boris Johnson
