GLC-LFB Breathing Apparatus Control Van (BACV)
For fires that required four or more pumps, or where breathing apparatus was required, a breathing apparatus control van would be ordered to the incident. They were located at the eleven Divisional Headquarters across London and had a crew of two, a Sub Officer and a Leading Fireman. If the incident required more than six pumps, a major control unit was ordered and the BACV crew would work with the major control unit crew. Seen here is an internal view of the rear of the BACV
