AFS (Auxiliary Fire Service) vehicles. The onset of WW2 brought about a vast expansion of the London Fire Brigade to deal with the anticipated enemy bombing of London. The Auxiliary Fire Service was formed in 1938 and equipped with taxis and trailer pumps located at sub fire stations across the Greater London area
