LCC-MFB Streatham fire station wireless van

Whilst the new Streatham fire station was being built, a sub-station was employed to serve the local area. Seen here is the horse drawn mobile MFB wireless van that housed the watchroom and communicated with the headquarters station at Southwark. The new station was opened in 1901, located in Mitcham Lane, Streatham
